I was astonished to hear someone mention that term at the conference, which seems to have fallen out of favor in the decade since I left that industry.
Anyway, we have what I expect is a not-uncommon situation where we routinely want to display new digital assets, typically just promotional images, to our E-commerce server. Since the E-commerce server is extremely secure, these otherwise trivial images have to go through the same set of validation and transfer steps as a code change, so we'd been considering bringing a new secure site online that was just an image repository with access for our marketing department. But at the conference someone suggested just using an online asset storage service, and I was wondering if anyone was doing this, and if so what services and what experiences they had had.
