How are you handling the collection of CVV codes for pledge billing and payment plans? Are you not collecting them for these processes? Best practices call for the collection of the CVV code for all card not present transactions. But you can't store the CVV code so you'd have to call the customer for each billing and that doesn't seem right. Has anyone thought about this during the cc compliance process?

According to my bank rep., it is acceptable to have the CVV only on the first payment of a recurring charge. Validation to the credit card company, if necessary, can be done by documentation of the billing agreement and the first charge.
