We have the same problem as many others where group accounts have no default salutation in V11, so I'm always on the lookout for a sensible workaround or fix.
We have never used the salutation2 field and it suddenly occurred to me that with V11 I can't think of a reason why it's needed. So my question is, does anyone use the salutation2 field, and if so what for?
Thanks.
Thanks, I might have a play with tr_salutation_format to see if I can get it to do something useful with Sal_2 on Organisation accounts.

Hi Suzanne
We use Sal2 for the business name, too.
To make that clearer for users, we changed the label of the field to say "organisation"...and the key trick was to set the salutation formats for Sal2 to "!", which means Gen Sal leaves them alone. Sent from the iPad

Suzanne, At the museum, we use Sal2 for business or foundation addresses. In this way, we have Sal1 = name, Business title = title and Sal2 = company name. It took a bit of clean-up to get all of our addresses uniform, but this way we can actually pull all of our corporate contacts and they have accurate mailing addresses.
