Convert Household to Organization?

We no longer change the record to Estate as we did prior to v.11.  Instead we now create an affiliation/association to an Estate record.

We are trying to determine if this is possible.  We have a household record in which both members of the household are deceased.  We've updated the individual records according to consortium standards and created non-primary affiliations to the household.

Now we would like to Change Constituent Type on the household record to make it an Estate.  For us, Estate is in the Organization cust_group. While it is possible to change and individual to a customer_type in the Organization group, Households don't appear to have this option.  Is this a bug or a feature?  And does anyone know of a workaround?
