Output set format issue

Hello, Tessitura geniuses:

I just ran an output set to export an attribute from certain constituents.  This attribute is a number, but when I save it out to excel the column is formatted as a "general" field.  Even if I change the format within excel to be a "number" format, I am not able to run excel formulas on the data. The goal is to be able to run an average on this number; there are 1000 rows, so I can't realistically do it manually.

Any thoughts on how I can get from here to there?  Is there some setting in Tessitura to change?  Or some kind of monkeying in excel that would fix this?

Thanks!
Beth

    Beth,

I have found that I need to save the file from Tessitura to a Tab Delimited, then open in Excel and you can change the format.  If you save it from Tessitura as an Excel file it never lets me change the formats.  Hope this is a quick help.
