Output set format issue

Hello, Tessitura geniuses:

I just ran an output set to export an attribute from certain constituents.  This attribute is a number, but when I save it out to excel the column is formatted as a "general" field.  Even if I change the format within excel to be a "number" format, I am not able to run excel formulas on the data. The goal is to be able to run an average on this number; there are 1000 rows, so I can't realistically do it manually.

Any thoughts on how I can get from here to there?  Is there some setting in Tessitura to change?  Or some kind of monkeying in excel that would fix this?

Thanks!
Beth

  • Hi Beth,

After changing the format to Number in excel, you can copy the entire spreadsheet and paste it into a new instance of excel. Then, you should be able to run formulas on the data.

Also, you can try verifying that the edit mas in T_KEYWORD is set to number for your attribute.

    Cheers,

    KMK
