Automating Regular List Pulls/Extractions

I already posted this on the Marketing forum but wanted to give it one last shot here.

Has anyone setup a customization to automate extraction list pulls?  We do several extraction sets that are on a daily or weekly basis and would like to find a way to automate this work - e.g. extract the names, promote to an appeal, run the output set and email the final file to a group of email addresses all without touching it.  Has anyone found a way to do this?

Thanks,

Chuck

  • Hi Chuck,

Did you ever sort this out?

I would love to know how you solved this....

    Thank you...

  • Yes, well, sort of.

What we did was replicated all of the logic in the extraction set as a stored procedure that identified the group of constituents and the fields for output and creates the file which is emailed from the backend to an inbox.  I could get more details on the technical aspects of this process if you'd like.  Unfotunately there is still no front end way to automate extractions if you don't have a DBA.

  • Thank you for responding, that is basically what I expected the response to be.
