Multi-Sort in SSRS

Anyone know a trick for (for lack of a better name) multi-sorting in SSRS?

In InfoMaker you could make columns sortable and Ctrl+Click on multiple column headers to sort by one first then another. Is there a way to do that in an SSRS report?

  • And I just figured it out. Shift, not Ctrl. Works just the same. No need to do anything differently in the setup.

  • As long as you have Interactive Sorting setup on the column header, you can Shift + Click to achieve the same results, I believe.

  • Hi Brian,

I think you can and it is described in this article: http://lukehayler.com/2011/04/28/sorting-on-multiple-columns-in-ssrs/.  It appears you use the Shift key to do it.

    Thanks,

    David
