Hello, Does anyone run dual monitors on the Ramp environment? I am having trouble with the color. I am able to use the dual monitors, but the color drops to 256 and looks horrible on the secondary monitor. In the 2x connection properties I have the displays settings for color set to 32 bit Highest quality and use all monitors for desktop session if applicable. The primary monitor it looks fine, but as you can see below ... when you move the application to the secondary monitor the color is and res is junk. Any ideas?
Hi Travis,
I had this problem as well. The problem arises because the RAMP environment can't understand how to render dual monitors so it forces everything to VGA. I found a workaround for it.
In 2X, open connection properties. On the Display tab in the middle of the pane is an option "Use primary monitor only". If you check this, it will lock all 2X applications onto whatever display is set as your primary (that's the one with the start button on it usually). You can't drag the apps to the secondary screen, but the colors go back to what you expect.
Hey Levi, Thanks for your response. Yeah, we have tired the same thing yesterday, but that defeats the purpose of having dual monitors. We are getting tired of the minimizing thing and the inefficiency of not being able to view multiple applications side by side.
Travis
I’ve learned the 2x connection doesn’t work well with dual monitors.
To maintain the correct color quality, you must run Tessitura using only the Primary monitor.
In the Connections tab, click Display, then check Use primary monitor only.
It can take a few minutes for the change to take effect.

There is an issue with using dual monitors on windows server 2003 which forces the color to 16bit. There is a hot fix to at least get the color to 16bit. I opened a support ticket with ramp. They said they will look into possibly getting the fix applied. Hopefully Ramp will apply the fix soon.
