Rollover Issue

Former Member

Good morning,

I was hoping that someone out there has had the same issue that I just had yesterday.

I entered a new season into Tess the same way I do every year about this time. I tested it to make sure I could process orders and that there were no errors, and I could and there wasn’t. When I did the actual Rollover from last season everything looked like it rolled over fine and there were no errors on the report. But, when I opened a rolled over order, there were no dollar amounts in the orders.

Campaign and Appeal dates were 3/5/2013 at 10am

Do any of you know why? Did I forget something? How can I correct it? How can I prevent it from happening on the four other seasons I am starting to enter?

  • Hi Bobbie,

I hope a few other people chime in on this one to help you out! I don't think I'm seeing your whole post so I'm not really sure where the problem is.

Personally, I would do a live to test copy. Then in Test try using the Seat Cancellation utility to see if that gets rid of the incomplete rollover orders. There is documentation on that utility in the online help system. If it works as expected then do it in Live.

Then try the rollover again in Test using a smaller list of constituents to see if you get the same results.

If it still isn't right, I would do an overall double check of the Rollover Set, the package setup, the price maps and maybe the individual performances. It helps to have a second set of eyes doing this as well because someone else might catch something small that you might be overlooking such as an incorrect date somewhere.

My first year in Tess we messed up two rollovers in Live and since then I'm a big advocate of testing the rollovers before doing them in Live!

    Good luck....

  • Hi Bobbie,

I would also take a look at your performance groups: it sounds to me like the package is accepting the rollover, but the individual performances are not pulling prices for your price type. Are all the SLI lines showing up in the order?

I would start by looking at the performance group, making sure it's properly attached to your package, then check to see if the price map is properly attached to the price type for each performance.

Have you made any price zone or map changes this year? Are you using super-packages? Do the seats show as reserved & paid on the seatmap?

That's where I'd start looking, hopefully you find the problem!
