Organization-Specific Training Videos

Hello! Our Consortium is planning to create some training videos (similar to T-Casts) that are specific to our Consortium. Has anyone else done something similar? Where did you host the videos and how did you password-protect them so they are not accessible to the general public? Interested in thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks!

  • Hi Andy,

We did some a few years ago, and just stored them on our intranet, but since the t-casts have been released we no longer use our custom ones.

  • I love this idea and can’t wait to see your feedback. This would be very great to use in our consortium as well.

  • Andy,

We are a consortium as well and have started trying to do little How-To videos.  Mostly to inform users of the proper standard for managing, editing and creating new constituent accounts. We use the Tessitura T-Classes for actual training, but discovered that we needed a way to inform users of the proper consortium standards for certain things not covered in the T-Classes.   I'm not sure this will help any, but we have a private group site on the Tessitura Network site and I upload the videos to an FTP site and then add the links to our group site for consortium member users to access through the Tessitura Network site.  We only have a couple of videos right now, but the initial response has been positive and when we mentioned we were working on this, users got very excited.
