Page Breaks in Revolt

Question for the SSRSperts in the group. I've got a report with a multi-row group, and the property "KeepTogether" set to True for that group.

When I run the report, it does in fact keep those groups together, only breaking pages in between instances of the group. So far, so good.

However when I print, the breaks are all wrong. It seems like the page length the report has been displayed in is not actually letter size. I've got the paper size set to Letter in Reports Properties, but the pages when displayed all break at a much lower place than when printing.

Is there a way to force the report to display in Letter size? I'm hoping that would actually fix the problem, as it seems happy to put page breaks in the right place for display.

Any thoughts? I've been googling away to (so far) no success.

Thanks,

Brian

    Brian,

You might take a look at the Interactive Size property of the report.  If that is larger than your page size, you will see some weird behavior when you print.  I ran into this a few months ago.  My Interactive Size was wider than the Paper Size.  The report displayed fine in Tess, but when it printed, there was a blank page between each page of data.

If the two sizes are set to the same values, you might also try shrinking your margins.  If I remember correctly, the margins are padded on the outside of the Interactive Size values. So if you have a 1/2 inch margin plus an Interactive Size of 8.5 x 11 inches, you actually have a report that is 9.5 x 12.
