So I have just recently ran into an issue with Symantec Endpoint running on the database server which is Windows Server 2008. For some reason it keeps blocking the seat server from making a connection. I had to uninstall it Endpoint and then everything would be fine. I can re-install Endpoint back on the database server and it still works. Once I restart the server it stops the connection again.
Has anyone else ran into this issue at all? I don't like to my box be unprotected.
Thanks,
Jeff
We are also running Symantec Endpoint and though we are not seeing any issue with the seat server it does slow down T-Stats a lot. To avoid this we had deactivated the network component of SEP on problem workstations which had resolved the issue for few days. Now it came back again!

Never had this problem and we run Symantec endpoint too. Our seat server service runs on the same box as the database.
