I know this is a random topic, but curious to hear if anyone else has had this experience and would like to share how they handled it.
We've been told by some of our volunteer usher staff that they have been approached by a well dressed man who portrays himself as a patron that just left the show. He starts up a conversation, discussed the show and ultimately ends up asking the person for money. Evidently, this is happening multiple times a few streets over from our venue. (We operate in downtown Nashville).
Our House Manager suggested sending an email to our patrons as a heads up, but I don't want to alert them unneccesarily.
Has anyone out there ever sent anything proactively to their patrons warning them of a similar situation? Or is it understood if you are in a city, you'll be approached like this from time to time?
Thanks!
