Does anyone know anything about the "rank" column in t_role?
How is it populated?
What it's purpose is?
Can we see it through the Tessitura application?
Can we change it through the Tessitura application?

Rank determines the sort order of Roles and Credits. The value is established by the application, but the rank can be changed within a production element by moving roles/titles using the Up and Down buttons on the window.

What if moving the credits up or down within the production set up does not change the rank? Do we have to manually update them in the table?
No you shouldn’t have to manually update them in the table. The numbers are only used for sorting purposes, and they are only required to be updated as to keep the same order that appears in the application. If you are not seeing this, please submit a support ticket.
So if I have three roles:
Role A 1
Role B 2
Role C 3
And I move Role B “up”:
Role B 1
Role A 2
And then delete Role A:
In this example, Role C does not get reassigned to “2”, just because Role A (rank 2) was deleted.
