assigning account to gen public

Folks,

All of our general public/walkup orders are currently in the 0 account.  We are considering the possibility of moving those to an account(s) in order for them to read into history.

Has anyone done this?  Is it a fairly easy process to assign orders with account#=0 to a valid account#?  What would we need to look out for.

Thank you for any advise you can give.

  • You should be able to load the orders one by one and then type in the account number you want to move them to. It should prompt you asking are you sure you want to change the customer for this order.

  • I should have been more clear.  I talking about assigning all of our 0-account orders--three year's worth--to account number(s).  One by one wouldn't work very well.

  • Just FYI for people curious about this feature, the ability to change the constituent that an order is associated to is controlled by the security object "Ticketing Change Const ID" which may or may not be assigned to you.
