BOCA trouble

Hello everyone!

We are new to Tessitura (Class of 2012) and in the past two weeks or so, several of our BOCA ticket printers have been going a little haywire.

When printing a high quantity of vouchers (more than about 20) from any of our printers, it prints most of them correctly but about every dozen, it starts missing a few lines from a voucher and printing them on the next ticket. Also, two of our printers have begun lagging, either by a few seconds or until we try to print something else. And finally, a third printer started printing a blank bar across every ticket.

We had none of these problems when they were used with ProVenue. Has anyone else had issues like this? One of our team members thinks the printers just need to be cleaned but the timing seems a little suspect.

  • I would try a combination of cleaning the optics and in the Boca menu clear downloads and restore defaults.  The other thing to consider- have you recently acquired new ticket stock?  Has the design changed at all?  We had one batch of ticket stock with text too close to the spacing line and it would often cause the Bocas to freak right out and print in weird ways like you are seeing.
