Consortium Sub licensing - Security Question

Hello,

I have been tasked to develop the configuration that would allow for a consortium within our Tessitura installation. The biggest question we are facing (at the moment) is how to secure the access so that each organization has access only to it's own resources and that no one organization can access any other organization's data.

Is this a possible configuration? If so, is there documentation regarding this setup/configuration? I searched through the community and found some references regarding consortium and sublicenses; however, I did not see any documentation on how one might set this up with security/separation in mind.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

Thank you,
Aaron Richards

  • Aaron,

There isn’t really any documentation on how to set up Tessitura for a consortium.  The first thing you need to look at is control groups.  That is where the majority of separation happens in a consortium set up.  Security groups is another place to look.  I manage a consortium with 7 organizations and we have everything segregated so each organization only sees and can access what belongs to them.  So it’s very possible in Tessitura.

I’m happy to talk off-line if you like.  I’ll also be in San Diego next week for TLCC2012 and would be happy to talk then if you are going to the conference as well.
