Hi all,
We're having trouble getting the Export option while running an SSRS report from within Tessitura on RDS (Remote Desktop Services - Windows Server 2008 R2) to work. The only option that works is Save as List. All other options, including CSV, Excel, Word, etc do nothing when they are clicked on.
Note that the options work properly on the same RDS server for those in the local Administrators group. However, for regular users (i.e. those in the local Users group), these options do not work.
I have already applied the registry change described here, so I know that is not the issue: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/network/Learning/Tessitura%20Knowledgebase/Reports/Other/19336.aspx. It seems to be some sort of permission or right that a regular user on an RDS server does not have.
Please let me know if you know how to solve this one or have a theory!
Thanks,David
It’s hard to say without knowing your system or environment, but this is a browser issue. This appears to be related to Internet Explorer security settings. I would check that the security zone that IE places the WebReports app into is either Trusted or Intranet, which elevates permissions to allow Javascript and AJAX calls within a page (among many other things).
Also, apart from the poor formatting on that KB article, make sure that you have applied the right registry entry which is different for 64 bit.

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your reply – we placed our entire internal domain (which will include the WebReports app) in the Trusted zone via a group policy. That essentially picked up all of our internal servers. And, IE Trusted zone is configured with the default settings. I’ll do some more checking, but the fact that it works for those in the local Administrators group but not those in the local Users group potentially points to some right or privilege in the OS that Users do not have in order for this function to work.
Yes, I did apply the 64-bit registry entry from that KB article.
Thanks again,
David
