InfoMaker Versions

Is version 10.5 of InfoMaker what folks are using?  What about 11.5?  Any advantages?

I hate creating acknowledgement letters with fields in 10.5.  The text wrapping is awful.

The correct version of Infomaker to use is dependant upon the version of Powerbuilder that Tessitura utilizes, which is v10.5.1.  Infomaker v11.5 will not work properly with the current versions of Tessitura.  Using Infomaker v10.5 without the additional .1 update could provide some unexpected results, so ensuring the version in use is 10.5.1 is the correct thing to do.

  • The version of Infomaker must correspond to the version of PowerBuilder (what Tessitura is built upon), which currently is 10.5.1 (Build 6021).  Previous or later versions of Infomaker are not compatible.

If you are looking to move out of Infomaker for your Acknowledgement Letter needs, a lot of licensees use Microsoft Word to create Mail Merge templates, giving their fundraising department far more control over the output.  It also can take a small load of an overbooked IT department!

    Thanks for the information.

  • Ryan,

I just checked and we are running InfoMaker 10.5 ... I do not know of any issues  - do we need to upgrade to 10.5.1.  We are running the latest 8.0.0.3 of Tessitura.

  • It is recommended that you upgrade to 10.5.1, which is available for download on the Sybase website at no cost if you have an existing 10.5 license.  We have not seen any inconsistencies, but it does include some bug fixes which may or may not affect your environment, and it keeps the version consistent with Tessitura’s build.
