We recently upgraded our cpu in the main box office and when we got everything reconnected, we lost our option to Print to File when printing an order or tix. I was wondering how I get that option back. I am trying to use the option to do exchanges, but in order to exchange tickets all the tickets have to be printed, but we aren't ready to print them just yet and I don't want to waste ticket stock so that is why the print to file option was so wonderful because it didn't actually print anything. But it worked as far as tessitura thinking the tickets had been printed so I can start returning them and do exchanges. Any help would be wonderful!
How do you create the printer? I go to printer setup and I have that generic text option, but when I click ok nothing happens. And when we do use the generic text option now it prints tickets out still. Is there a place I can go to to fix it? Thank you so much! From: Beth Gilliland <bounce-bethgilliland6030@tessituranetwork.com> Sent: 7/24/2012 12:19:31 PMWe created a fake printer using the Generic/Text Only driver and called it NULL PRINTER. We use that as the user's Default Ticket Printer (Tools->Preferences) when we want to "trick" Tessitura into thinking tickets are printed, but save on ticket stock. Hope that helps!Beth----------- BETH GILLILAND Tessitura System Administrator bethgill@umich.edu 734-615-9579 ofc 734-276-4816 cellwww.ums.org // www.umslobby.org On Tue, Jul 24, 2012 at 1:09 PM, Heather Rose <bounce-heatherrose7719@tessituranetwork.com> wrote: We recently upgraded our cpu in the main box office and when we got everything reconnected, we lost our option to Print to File when printing an order or tix. Ok, I created it and made the driver generic/text only. How do I set it up in Tess now?
