Print to File option gone

We recently upgraded our cpu in the main box office and when we got everything reconnected, we lost our option to Print to File when printing an order or tix. I was wondering how I get that option back. I am trying to use the option to do exchanges, but in order to exchange tickets all the tickets have to be printed, but we aren't ready to print them just yet and I don't want to waste ticket stock so that is why the print to file option was so wonderful because it didn't actually print anything. But it worked as far as tessitura thinking the tickets had been printed so I can start returning them and do exchanges. Any help would be wonderful!

  • Try adding a new Local Printer and create a new Port called NULL. That way it's not touching any of your actual printers. (Note: I use a Win 7 machine, but I'm pretty sure this worked on our Win XP machines, too.)

    We created a fake printer using the Generic/Text Only driver and called it NULL PRINTER. We use that as the user's Default Ticket Printer (Tools->Preferences) when we want to "trick" Tessitura into thinking tickets are printed, but save on ticket stock.

  • Ok, I created it and made the driver generic/text only. How do I set it up in Tess now?
