On our report server, I have been getting the following error.
"Cannot find Background Reports Run Program.
Check the following in [reports] section of either the local Tessitura.ini file or the master Tessitura config file:
1. The Path value must have the local client files path.
2. the GSBAKGR value must have the correct path to the background report processor (GSRBAKGR.EXE)."
I hit "OK" then the Report Server goes into SUSPEND Mode. I close it out and re-open the Report server and it runs ok till that error comes back and any giving time.
I am running this on a Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit system.
Any suggestions would be great
Thanks,
Jeff
Hi Jeff
Cannot help with this but I am seeing the same error.
I have assumed it was a network issue as often when I have seen this I have seen the mapped drive with a red cross through it, but clicking on it shows it can connect to it at the time.
Mark
The Report Server must be able to locate an installed Tessitura client application on the same machine. To do this, it looks to the Tessitura.INI (or the master Tessitura.ini) for the following entry under the [reports] section:
[reports]
gsbakgr=C:\Tessitura\App
This entry represents the path to find the report processor. This path should be the folder path (from root) to the client files folder. It might be something more like C:\Program Files\Tessitura Client\ in your case.
In v11.0.2 and previous versions, the background report processor is used to run the reports. Starting with v11.0.3, the background report processor has been folded into the main Tessitura client, so you will see Tessitura.exe running as a process for each Infomaker/PB request, instead of gsbakgr.exe in 11.0.2. The background report processor is obsolete as of 11.0.3.
If this doesn’t help to solve your issue, please open a support ticket so we may assist you more directly.
