I've checked through the Forum posts concerning un-merging records, but there does not appear to be anything recent on this issue (they're from 2010):

I've also downloaded the un-merge SQL Script:

And unfortunately this too is now out of date with the V11 upgrade.
Has anyone written a script for un-merging in V11 of have any advice on how to un-pick two merged records? This doesn't happen often, but on this occasion two rather important records have been merged together and we need a quick solution.
Your help, as always, will be gratefully received.

I, very recently, had to do my first (and hopefully last!) unmerge. We had a very important donor account accidentally merged into an account that was not his.
I opened a support ticket and Theran pointed me to something written for Tess V5. It is referenced in full in the first forum link you posted above at the bottom of the thread.
It is outdated but was extremely helpful as many of the tables are still the same.
One other thing that might be of interest to you is that my Live system is V10 but my Test system has been upgraded to V11. I needed to use the Test system to determine what changes to make in the Live system. The Test tables might have more information in them but they still work essentially the same way which is really great for this situation.
I know it isn't an automatic script (I did the unmerge manually which was very unpleasant) but I did find the info very helpful.
