We have a spreadsheet of approximately 60k Constituents to import/merge and remove duplicates with our existing list. We have documentation on constituent importing but are not sure how to remove the duplicates...Thank you... Has anybody ran into this quandary?

Has anybody ran into this quandary?
I usually import new constituents and don’t try to find duplicates before the import. This way, I capture the occasional new phone number or e-mail address. So I allow duplicates to be created during the import process, then run the duplicate search procedure (LP_IDENTIFY_DUPLICATES) after the import. Assuming that the data I import is in reasonably good shape (addresses more or less formatted the way the data exists in Tessitura), the duplicates will show up.
I have, I seem to remember, done it the other way, letting Tessitura flag the records that it considers duplicates and not import them. You can go through those records manually, if there aren’t too many.

Hi Lucie, thank you so much for your response. We have about 54k Constituents already in Tess. We now have a spreadsheet with about 53-54K more to add( I am sure there are dupes). So going through it manually would take a long time as you could probably imagine...
Which way would you suggest?
Thank you, Aaron
