TNSPay and SecureCCard

Hi,

I'm a bit confused over the credit card server requirements for v11 and going forward.  We currently use SmartCCard and TNSi (like most UK venues I believe), however after speaking to TNSi I understand that they no longer deploy SmartCCard, and the prefered option is TNSPay.  Also I've been told that our Chip and Pin Terminals will no longer be certified from April 2014.

What I'm trying to figure out is, does v11 require the newer TNSPay, or can we run along with SecureCCard until we are required to change because of the Chip and Pin Terminals?

Thanks

  • Hi Simon

We have been testing SecureCXL over the last week and SmartCCard works fine with Version 11!

So not required but we might need to think about upgrading to TNS Pay to be PCI compliant though!

    Thanks

    Nick

  • Hi Nick,

Thanks for your reply.  We have been testing Customer not Present with SecureCCard which, as you say, works fine.  We haven't got around to the C&P testing yet though.

And we are dragging our heels with regards to PCI compliance, purely because of the cost.  We are going to have to replace our chip and pin terminals eventually, which means we'll have to go to TNSPay, I'm just trying to stretch out the budget as far as possible.
