a general question about PCI terminology I hope someone can help me out with.
PCI DSS applys when a card is stored, processed or transmitted.
(This example is oversimplified) If we aren't storing Credit Cards (so storage is eliminated), and we are ensuring we are transmitting the card digits securely over SSL/port 443 for V11, so it doesn't matter if the card data is intercepted on route (transmitted is eliminated), which part of Tessitura "processes" credit cards?
Is it the Tessitura client itself, the Payment Gateway, or CommsXL/Transend, something else or all 3. I can't get a suitable answer from https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/documents/pci_dss_v2.pdf and Google has failed me.
I am grateful for any assistance, even if it points me at different websites for my answer.
