Cherry keyboards question

We use Cherry keyboards and our box office would like to purchase some new ones that are different from the ones they've been using for years.  The ones they want to purchase are found on Dell's web site and are manufacturer no. G86-62410EUAGSA.  I need to know if these will work or not.

Here's the link to the keyboards: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=soho&cs=ussoho1&sku=A0471542&SMCID=702&CAWELAID=95985720&dgc=SS&cid=27722&lid=628335

  • Hi John,

As long as the keyboard works with your computers it should work with Tessitura.  There are no special requirements.

If you are programming some of the keys with macros, you should check to make sure that the keyboard can hold the length of macros you are using.  In some testing I was doing with Cherry keyboards I found that some models only allow you to enter something like 10 or 12 keystrokes, which isn't enough for anything more complicated than one or two keyboard shortcuts.
