Mail2 Unsubs

Hey Mail2 Users,

When you did the initial import of subscribers into Mail2, did you import the unsubscribes or people with the marketing flag unchecked? We did not do that because it would essentially put us over our total subscribers. However, if someone who was unsubbed before Mail2 wants to resub they would end up creating a new account because Mail2 won't find them in its database. How have you handled this?

  • I just came across this while looking at some of the other Mail2 posts.  We recently launched Mail2 at 92Y.  We loaded all opt-outs from Tessitura into Mail2 as Global Unsubscribes.  Global Unsubscribes and Hard Bounces do not count against the contact quota.

I don't think it's necessary to load the entire database of emails into Mail2 but only those contacts subscribed to lists or that you will actually email to keep you quota in check.
