Hello all! Last week, I installed the QAS system for Tessitura, and have been testing it since. Overall, I'm fairly impressed and excited to be using it, but I have run into a strange error that I'm hoping someone might be able to provide some insight on.
Typically, when QAS is invoked while creating a new account it will auto search on the Zip code used to create the account, and will display all of the results for that code in the details window; the Search line itself is blank, and ready for the user to type in the street name. However, sometimes when the interface invokes, it doesn't automatically search on the zip code. Instead, it displays the code in the search line. You can search on it and the interface will return the results for that code, but the zip code itself remains in the search line. If you try to delete it or type over it, the interface will reenter the zip. Additionally, if you try to type anything after the zip, the characters will drop out as you type, preventing you from selecting an address. Clicking the “New Search” icon will reset the interface and it will behave normally from that point on.
It’s not a huge deal since it’s easy to reset, but it’s happening to every user who I’ve had test out the interface (about five of us so far), and it’s happening very frequently, usually about every ten minutes or after three or four searches. In fact, today it’s happened on everyone’s first search after logging in to Tessitura.
Has anyone else run into this problem, and found a way to solve it? Any insight at all would be much appreciated! Thanks everyone!
