Tess looking for a non-existant fee

Hi team!

Hoping this is something simple that I'm just not seeing this morning.

We are trying to post a batch this morning and getting this error:

"The posting has failed due to the following error in batch XXXX: fee_gl_no not found for fee_no 83"

The problem is, there is no fee 83. At all. I've checked the table t_fee and it only goes to 82. I also had a quick scan through the orders and don't see anything unusual about them. So I'm stumped.

Any thoughts?

  • Well... problem is found. Currently working on fixing the problem.

Turns out fee no 83 was created accidentally for about 2 minutes yesterday and someone happened to purchase a ticket with that fee in that time frame. It was then discovered the fee should not be there and it was deleted from the fee setup table.

So customer was charged and then fee disappeared. Leaving a messy mess for me!

    Hi Beth,

What did you do to fix this error? The same thing is happening here.

  • Hi Gloria,

This was an ordeal indeed! :)

I opened a help ticket and Matt Hilgers did a wonderful job helping me resolve this. In our situation the customer was purchasing tickets online and when they reached the checkout the fee still existed. During the time it took to process the payment the fee was deleted. So the payment was approved for $156 but suddenly the order total was only $144 leaving her with a balance of $12 overpaid.

Does that sound like what has happened on your end? We ended up doing a live to test copy and using a quick script that Matt wrote up for us to resolve this. I would recommend opening a help ticket just to be safe but i can also supply you with Matt's response and script offline if you'd like. bhawryluk@winspearcentre.com
