Mac Solutions?

Hi everyone,

One of my consortium members at Yale is running a Mac shop, and we are looking for feedback on pros and cons of various products to allow us to run windows on the Macs.  We are using parallels right now, but we're having some issues with copying/pasting, printing and general performance.  Is anyone out there using Fusion or VirtualBox, or anything else?

    I’ve never really had any troubles with Parallels; however, I just use a terminal services connection for Tessitura on my Mac. Have you explored this option? Before we got a direct connection here at First Stage most of our employees used the terminal connection... But since I am merely an amateur IT wonk I can’t speak to the specifics on server load, etc.

    Yes, we're on RAMP, actually, which I neglected to mention in my original post.  So we are connecting to Tessitura remotely already. Thanks for your thoughts!

    Microsoft’s RDC for Mac (http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/remote-desktop/default.mspx) works really well for Terminal Services connections. It connects one local printer and all local drives to the remote machine.
