We are moving our DB to a new server. It looks like the only thing we have to change for the clients to connect to the new server is the ‘servername’ parameter in the master ini file. Does this sound right to you? Example below…
Tessitura_master.ini file shown below:
[sqlca]
dbms=OLE DB
database=Impresario
; We’ll just swap the two commented lines below and make NEWSERVER active
servername=OLDSERVER\TESS
;servername=NEWSERVER\TESS
adminlogin="scheck"
adminpass="scheck"
[reports]
path=c:\program files\impresario client
gsbakgr=c:\program files\impresario client
David,
That sounds about right on the client side of things. Don't forget about your ccserver.ini, report server.ini, and web.config files as well. There might be others but those are the reference files that jump to mind.

Thanks David. Yes, I have cc, report, t_defaults, web, & nscan on the list. I was going to make a video for users showing them how to change their shortcuts. Now, I don’t have to!!
