Latest TranScend Version

Greetings Friends!

We've been on TranScend for almost 6 months, and this weekend we will be upgrading to the very latest patch.  Does anyone who has already put the latest version/patch on have anything to share? Things to look out for and so on?  I'm not anticipating any problems, but you know... plan for the worst, hope for the best etc, etc.

Thanks!

  • Thought I'd post an update... the upgrade went very smoothly, and very quick.  There was one GOTCHA, which happened 24 hours later at our first auto-settlement.  We use TSYS as our processor, and before the upgrade the TranScend batch id was incremented by 1, so that (for example) a Transcend batch of 100 was a TSYS batch of 101.  With the upgrade, that no longer happened.  So, TSYS rejected all of our batches because they viewed them as duplicates.  Simple fix, we just resubmitted and the next batch id was fresh for TSYS.  But still, there was no documentation at all about this, so it was a little alarming to come in this morning and find that none of our money had made it to the bank.  I called Intrix support and they confirmed that the documentation is unclear about batch sequencing because people use different processors, etc etc.

So to people who use TSYS/Vital as their processor... be aware of your batch sequencing after the Transcend upgrade!

  • I just wanted add that we experienced the same problem Nancy had but didn't notice till about a month later and we almost lost all the money we received that day.  Though I'm sure most people have completed the update it might be nice for the network to send out an alert.
