Swapping N1 and N2 names and field formatting

Hi:

I have a large number of corporate contacts currently listed in the N1 fields, and the company name in the N2 field (one long field).  I want to swap the names, where the person is listed in several fields in N2 and the company name is listed in one field in N1 (opposite of what it is now).  I can  easily swap the names with SQL, but how to do I change the format of N1 and N2?

  • TR_CUST_TYPE contains the n1n2 formattings for various cust types. Having said that, it might not be worth the effort to flip them around. I'm pretty sure this will be a moot point come v11.

I agree with Amanda about probably not being worth the effort, given v11 changes, but if you do want to change them, you should just convert them from Corporate Contact type to Organisation type constituenti.
That will have consequences for how they convert to the New Model, of course, so you need to think that through
