Credit Card Failed Authorizations in the Tessitura Client?
Our in-house call center and Box Office have reported this error is on the increase and are wondering if there is a technical problem.
In checking with Intrix we have learned that a 51-- means "Insufficient Funds".
Just wondering if something has changed at the merchants or processors or if we are just seeing some statistical variability in action.

This is just a guess, based entirely on what I seem to remember hearing about many months ago.... But, I think banks are now restricted in how many overdraft fees they can charge, so where they may have covered the charge in the past and charged an extra fee on top of it they are now just declining the charge. But that is really just a guess and should be taken with a grain or three of salt...
