Log Out Automatically?

I went to do some database work last night and discovered several users had gone home with Tessitura still open on their computers. Is there any way to automatically log users out of Tessitura after a certain period of inactivity?
Thanks,

Yes
Change the settings in the Group policy in active directory to auto log off after X minutes

Jeanne, in short, the answer is yes. There are 2 related T_DEFAULTS settings:
APPLICATION_TIMEOUT
The number of seconds of no activity (keystrokes, mouse clicks or mouse movement) before a warning message will appear indicating that the application will automatically close. The default value is 0 (no idle timeout). This setting can be overridden by an entry in the [Defaults] section of the local .ini file.
APPLICATION_TIMEOUT_WARNING
The number of seconds the idle timeout warning window will display before the application restarts. The default value is 30 seconds.

There is a setting in T_DEFAULTS for APPLICATION_TIMEOUT, which controls how long the client will be idle before closing the application. If set to zero (0) or undefined, there is no timeout. The setting is in minutes.

What's the format for the statement in the .ini file? Knowledgebase article 16197 mentions a connect=timeout=30, but that's in the SQLCA section, not the Defaults section.
Thanks,
Jeanne

As an example, adding these lines to the local tessitura.ini file will cause Tessitura to close (returning to the login screen) on the applicable workstation after 15 minutes (900 seconds) of idle time and will issue a warning that the application will close 1 minute (60 seconds) prior to the shutdown.
[Defaults]
Application_Timeout=900
Application_Timeout_Warning=60

Actually it's a good idea to set it to 900 (15 minutes) to comply with the PCI (Payment Card Industry) PA-DSS (Payment Application - Data Security Standard) requirement.
