barcode readers

Hello everyone!

We are looking at buying some barcode readers and developing a non-NSCAN solution for 2 purposes.  1) processing ticket exchanges and returns night of show and 2) attendance count during intermission.  If you are doing something like that could you offer some insight?

What scanners would you recommend?

What tables would these 2 processes populate and what reports would report on the data (would we need custom tables and reports)?

What would the process entail?  For exchanges and returns do we have to pull up a record, scan the ticket and return/exchange it?  For attendance, would we open up the Performance setup custom tab and scan the tickets?

Thanks in advance for ideas you have!

    Hi Stuart,

We do attendance recording and I can show you how this works when I see you next,
as well as the scanners we use, which I believe are Symbol LS 2208.
Also, I can show you what you would need to do for exchanges and returns.

    Cheers!
