Off-topic - OPAS forum

Hi folks

This is a note for just those of us who use OPAS as well as Tess - the rest of you can chat amongst yourselves for a while while I hijack the Tess forum illicitly.

As a recent addition to the rollcall of OPAS users, my first question was  - "Well, where is the community forum for discussions and self-help like we have for Tess?" ... ??....??.....!!!

(There seems to have been a forum run by Artifax at some time, but it is no longer maintained as far as I can see.)

So...(drum roll, please..) Kevin Madiera and I have presumptuously taken the bull by the horns and created one, using the Groups tool in Linkedin, which provides a whole lot of good forum functionality without needing any work.

Given there are about 25 Tess sites that also use OPAS, I thought this would be a good place to drum up some business. I've also invited Tom Gaitens from FAS, who can presumably alert non-Tess OPAS users if he thinks it's a good idea.

The Group is called OPAS Users (not very creative, I know).

Anyhoo....If you or yours would like to join up (assuming you've already signed up to Linkedin itself), this link should take you to a place from which you can get to the signup page. We've made it a closed group, so initially Kevin or I will have to approve you before you become an official member. I think i've set it up so you can invite others once you're accepted yourself - otherwise if anyone else wants to become a Manager, with tthe ability to approve new members, let me know.

...And... see you in Orlando, boys and girls!....
