Tessitura to Tessitura Conversion

I know this is technically very possible, but, before we move forward:

Has anyone ever done a Tessitura to Tessitura facilty conversion? The motive for this is that another Tessitura Licensee uses the same Facility(ies) we need to build in a new implementation. The idea is that we write the scripts to pull the facility information directly from the database of Organization A and insert into the database of Organization B.

We have done many conversions before and fully understand the unique identifiers, referential data issues etc etc and are prepared to default to the 'Build the Facility' through the front end, as usual.

I am just looking for a general lessons learned, or if it has even been attempted before.

Thanks,

- Blair

    Hi Blair
No helpful experience to offer, unfortunately, just a request: if you do manage to make this work, could you report back to the Forum, and maybe post the code?
It's on the Big Wishlist for us, and I suspect a few others.

  • There are other threads about this - it seems a popular concept!

Here in Aus we have a (relatively) large number of touring organisations who perform in venues that also use Tess and who would find this VERY useful.

Do we offer a prize to the person that cracks it?
