Component Died?

Anybody ever seen this error message when running an SSRS report?

OLE Browser External Exception Handler: Component Died; exception caught by PowerBuilder

Any idea what that means? The report runs when I preview it in BIDS with the same parameters. It's just through Tessitura it's throwing that error.

  • It either means that it is time for a proper burial, or for some reason, the Internet Explorer Browser Control crashed at some point when calling the report.  Can you run the same report in IE directly?>

  • Yes, in IE it seems to be fine. On a whim, I just removed the parameters from the (Tessitura) report setup, and now the report is loading fine, and runs when I used the dropdowns in the browser window instead.
