I’ve noticed that one of the TPAU stored procedures, P_TPAU_TRANSACTION_MOVER, has been doing a lot of work on our database server (highest total CPU and Total Logical Reads. 2nd highest Total IO).
Does anyone know how this stored procedure job is scheduled? I’d like to schedule it to run during non-peak hours (I’ve seen it run around 4PM).
Also, can someone remind me of the recommended recovery model for TPAU & TPAUARCHIVE? We’ve got both set to full. I’d be concerned about switching to simple unless Transcend gives you another way to restore the database to a point-in-time, or am I missing something here? (Wouldn't you need to restore TPAU/TPAUARCHIVE logs in a disaster?)
And last, has anyone tried moving TPAU to a different filegroup or server for performance? Did it help?
Lots of questions - thanks.
