Tessitura v11 and SSRS

Preparing for v11:
"SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) will be required for version 11 and can be installed at the same time that you are upgrading your SQL Server or as a separate step.  Look for more information on the transition to SSRS in the coming months."

Version 11 is anticipated to be available for General Release in the last quarter of 2011.

Will  InfoMaker reports continue to run parallel to SSRS reports?  Or does this mean that all InfoMaker reports need to be migrated to SSRS by the last quarter of 2011?

Thanks,

Chris

  • Rest assured, Infomaker custom screens and reports are not going away yet!

Infomaker reports and standard reports will continue to run in Tessitura in v11 and for the next few versions.  We are slowly making the migration from Infomaker to SSRS (2008), and are keenly aware of the investment made by licensees into customization (that would be customization for non-North American licencees, sorry left my vernacular plugin at home).  “More information on this topic and migration will be available in the coming months. “  In the short term, this will include TCasts on upgrading and implementing SSRS, converting existing custom reports, and basic report design.  This year’s conference will also have several sessions on beginning and advanced SSRS topics.

Hope that cools down the office a bit. <grin>
