We've gone live here in the last two weeks and while we've been rolling right along, we have noticed a mix up with our campaigns. We built out our current fiscal year campaigns and about five years worth of future year campaigns for the conversion. However, we're finding that our contribution import recreated the current fiscal year campaigns with duplicate campaigns.
For the conversion, the campaign were essentialy built with a campaign_no and a description and nothing else - no active date range, campaign type, category or anything. Therefore, they don't show up in the campaign list within Tessitura - the only way i can see them is through SQL.
What i would like to do is get rid of the duplicates and I'm wondering what the fastest, easiest way would be. I could (a) update the campaings that have gifts in them to take the filled out information of the campaigns we originaly built or i could (b) recode t_contribution and t_transaction to take the campaign_no of te good campaigns. I'm not sure of the consequences of (b) though it seems the faster route.
Which options seems the most painless? Thanks in advance!!!
