Rollover orders accessible online and internally?

Hi,

We want to start using rollovers so I am combing through webinars and posts to start testing.  I don't see anything specific about setting up rollovers to allow order accessing/processing either online and internally, depending on how the patron renews.  We currently use different MOS for subscriptions (web and internal) but is using one MOS is the best path forward? Any help to point us in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Jeri,

A rollover creates orders that are then loaded when a constituent renews.  An order can only have one mode of sale, so to process renewals on the web the Web API simply needs to have access to whatever MOS you use for your rollover.  So let’s say you have a Subscriptions MOS and use that for the rollover.  You would need to give the Web API security access to that MOS, then it will be able to load the order.  You can continue to use a Web Subscriptions MOS for new subscriptions if you want.
