Print screen oddity

We recently upgraded our monitors, and we've since noticed 2 oddities with File-->Print Screen. I wanted to know if anyone else has the same issue or if this is just us.

1.) The Print Screen doesn't print the entire screen anymore. We used to have 17" monitors running at 1024x768, and that worked fine. Now we have LCDs running at 1680x1050, so we only get roughly half of the screen printing at full size on a page.

I know that Tess is only officially supported at 1024x768, though with an LCD that's pretty rough. We do have a workaround: use the keyboard shortcut for Print Screen and paste into a photo editor. I was hoping there would be a change we could make somewhere to get the print to scale to the page.

2.) The Print Screen command will get the entire screen, not just the Tessitura screen. It's probably always been this way and we're just discovering it since now people aren't always running Tessitura maximized. Easily enough solved with the workaround from above, but again, hoping we can just change something to make it work like the end-users expect it to be from before.

Thanks,

CC

  • If you are selected on Tessitura and do alt print screen it should just capture the Tessitura window, not the whole screen.  That might help..

Put yourself out of misery and get this great screen capture software. I love it!

  • In v11  (and the next build of v10, if there is one)  this is fixed and only the Tessitura window prints.

  • Thanks Chuck! A minor nit in the grand scheme, but I thought I'd ask before I got all formal with a report.

While the screen capture recommendation works for me, it's a bit more of a challenge for the end-users. We're just telling them to put Tess in the upper-right for now. Or we'll gladly put their old monitors back. ;)
