HiWe are looking at setting up address verification based on postal code for credit card purchases. We have confirmed with Windcave that they can do verification based on postal code - now we need to figure out what postal code is sent to them from Tessitura when processing an order through the client. Does anyone know if it is the postal code associated with the primary address or the postal code that is entered in the payments window? Is there somewhere that we decide for ourselves what to send?Any guidance on setting this up would be greatly appreciated!ThanksJess LevySan Francisco Operajlevy@sfopera.com
Hi Jess - I literally created a help ticket yesterday for this very same question. I'm trying to figure out if we can allow patrons to enter their postal code tied to the credit card at checkout on our custom site. I know that you can override the postal code in the payments window when doing a phone transaction, so my assumption is that we *should* be able to allow entry at checkout online. We do not want to use the postal from Tess as we cannot assume that is the same postal tied to their credit card.
Good to know that the postal code in the payments window overrides the primary address (I also have a ticket open on this but have not been able to get that confirmed). We also have a custom site and are working on sending just a zip code entered by the patron. I will let you know how it goes for us.BestJess
