Does anyone know what determines the order in which the items in LTR_TNEW_DYN_EMAIL_CONTENT appear on the confirmation page/ in confirmation emaills. It seems to Perf, Prod.Season, then Prod. and within each of those it orders it by the number of characters of the content descending?

I've wondered the same thing before. Don't know the answer but am following your post.
I have a row on a Performance and a row on the PS. The Performance row shows at the top of the confirmation. I was thinking the sort was from right to left within the table (Prod, PS, Perf) but your idea would give the same result. Good question.
