WindCave CC readers and Tessitura

Hello Friends

forgive me if i am not posting this in the right topic, i'll repost elsewhere if this is wrong, thank you ahead of time

we are in a bit of a pickle here

we have 3 USB readers and one wireless

all of the windcave configuration has been done and even WC can see the devices in HIT configuration from their network.

in Tessitura, I went through the initial configuration with one of their engineers all of the machine settings

we are in a 3 hop environment

1. log into local machine

2. log into virtual machine

3. launch hosted tessitura

when trying to process a transaction Tessitura cannot see the machine name that is attached to the reader

even tried removing the middle VM and launching the the hosted app from the local machine and Tessitura still cannot see the CC readers.

I can ping the hostnames on the network, the VM can see the physical machines, and both can see the readers attached. but Tessitura cannot see the readers when trying to process a transaction.

any help appreciated.

thank you

Peter

  • Hi Peter, hopefully you've opened a ticket with Tessitura by now, but if not (or until they respond), make sure that the local machine's device name is in TR_MACHINE_SETTINGS (in File Explorer, right click on "This PC, choose 'Properties' and you'll see the Device Name).

If you've already done this, is the local machine a virtual desktop, or an actual PC/Laptop?  We had to swap out all of our virtual desktop machines because the device name would change each time the user logged in.

You can also check the log viewer, or the Payment Gateway Logs, to see what device name is getting used.
