Order Level Fees & Performance Fees

Finance is trying to reconile FY23 fees and I'm hoping someone here has come across these questions before.

  1. What is the difference between the Fees Paid column on Fees by Performance report versus the Posted Column on the Ticketing Fee Revenue report for fees marked with the frequency of "Perf".
  2. Does the Ticket Fee Revenue report include price layered fees? If not, should we combine the results of Ticket Sales by Period with only selecting our Fee layer, with the Ticket Fee Revenue report to get our total fee number.

Thank you,

Jena

  • Just in case anyone is interested in the outcome of this ticket for future reference.

    1. Does Ticketing Fee Revenue give me ALL fee revenue (that isn’t layered in with the ticket price)?

Ticketing Revenue Fee Report - this is not tied to price layer fees only Fees set up using the standard Ticketing Setup/Fees process where you can associate to an order or individual performance level. The data is actually pulled from the transaction level and based on activity for the transaction types fee change (51), fee payment (52) and fee refund (53)

    2. Should the Fees by Performance Report match in total to a combination rows in the Ticketing Fee Revenue Report?

Fees by Performance Report - this is a summary of performance seat level fees for a season, production, performance or set of performances. This report only reviews the fees table so cannot account for refunds or other changes since it does not evaluate transactional changes.

    3. Is there a report that I can run that gives me ONLY order-level fees (those not associated with a particular performance)?

At present the Ticketing Revenue standard report can be run for specific fee categories, so if your Order level fees consistently use the same Fee Categories and your performance level fees consistently use the same fee categories that are "different" then order level fee categories, you can run the Ticketing Fee Revenue for just those categories and then run again for only fee categories associated at the performance level to break them out that way
