change to report schedule not taking effect

Hi all,

 

This is probably a daft question, but my morning coffee hasn’t had time to kick in yet!  Yesterday, I’d deleted two emails from a daily sales report schedule, but this morning, those two emails still received the report.  Have I missed a trick, or just a blindingly obvious ‘this is the way it always works’?

    Hi Kathleen,

     

    When you amend a report schedule your changes only apply after the next report has run, I’m sure I have read about this changing somewhere but I might be making that up.

  • It looks like you are experiencing a similar issue to what I am experiencing.  We modified the job and on the subsequent run, the prior Output Option appears to be the same.

    We have a job that runs every night and has been scheduled to run every night since the beginning of the season.  It was set to run every morning and the output option was set to “Data Center”.  It was set to this option because we had difficulty getting the e-mailing PDF files to function.  We finally got the e-mailing PDF files resolved and scheduled a similar job to run every morning with the “Email-PDF” as the output option and it worked great.  We went into the “Maintain Report/utility schedule” and edited the output option to be the desired “Email-PDF” and saved it.  When  the job is opened again, it displays the “Email-PDF” in the Output option field. 

    The fix for the e-mail issue was that the server was not able to create PDF files because the folders under the PBVM folder had a bad set of GS driver files.  When we got a clean copy of these subfolders from a working system, everything functioned as designed and desired.

    The problem is that when the job runs, it does not e-mail the PDF, but a similar job that was created initially with the correct Output Option emails perfectly.  Does anyone know why the job that was edited still acts like “Data Center” is selected as the Output Option instead of the “Email-PDF”?  I examined all logs and did not find any errors during the run of this job.  And like I said earlier, the same report being run with a different season selected as the only difference between the runs does e-mail properly.
